This Privacy Policy describes how Builder Operating System Inc ("BOS", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our software and website at bos.build. We write this plainly because we want you to actually read it.
What we collect
We collect the information you give us when you create an account and use BOS: your name, email address, phone number, company information, and the project data you enter — schedules, estimates, change orders, plans, documents, photos, and messages. We also collect basic technical information needed to run the service, such as log data and device or browser type.
How we use it
We use your information to provide and operate BOS: running your projects, sending the notifications you ask for, providing support, securing accounts, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal information.
How we store and protect it
Your data is stored in access-controlled cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit, and access within our team is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not claim certifications or audits we have not undergone — but we take protecting your data seriously and limit access to it.
Third-party services
BOS relies on a small number of service providers to operate:
- Clerk — authentication and account sign-in.
- Twilio — text (SMS) messaging, where you opt in.
- QuickBooks — accounting integration, only where a customer chooses to connect it.
These providers receive only the information needed to perform their function.
SMS / Text Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from BOS about your projects, schedule changes, and job updates.
Message frequency varies based on your project activity.

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Project data belongs to the builder who created it; when an account is closed, we delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal or accounting purposes.
Your rights and deletion requests
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information at any time. Email todd@bos.build and we will respond promptly.
