Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the BOS software and website operated by Builder Operating System Inc ("BOS", "we", "us"). By using BOS, you agree to these terms.

The service

BOS is project management software for residential construction — schedule, estimate, change orders, plans, and client documents in one place. BOS is in active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves, and access is currently limited to invited builders.

Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your sign-in information secure, and tell us promptly at todd@bos.build if you believe your account has been compromised. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

Acceptable use

Use BOS for running your construction business, not for anything unlawful. You agree not to attempt to breach the security of the service, access other customers' data, reverse engineer the software, resell access without our agreement, or use the service to send spam or unlawful communications.

SMS / Text Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from BOS about your projects, schedule changes, and job updates.

Message frequency varies based on your project activity.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of using BOS.

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data

The builder owns their data. Project information you enter into BOS — schedules, estimates, change orders, plans, documents, and client records — belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request an export or deletion of your data at any time.

Availability

We work to keep BOS available and reliable, but the product is in active development and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect the service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Builder Operating System Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. BOS is a tool for managing your projects; you remain responsible for your business decisions, contracts, and compliance with building codes and laws.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email or in the product. Continued use of BOS after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
